How to Use Our Tallow

For best results, follow these simple steps when using our tallow balm:

• Start with clean, dry hands – Wash your hands before use to prevent introducing bacteria into the jar.
• Ensure hands are completely dry – Moisture can shorten the shelf life of the product, so always use dry fingers when scooping tallow.
• Scoop a small amount – A little goes a long way! Use your fingertips to take a small amount and warm it between your hands.
• Apply to skin – Gently massage into the desired area until fully absorbed. Suitable for face, body, and dry patches.
• Store properly – Keep your jar in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.

The shelf life of your tallow balm depends on how it's stored and whether any moisture or contaminants enter the jar. Here’s a general guideline:

Tallow Balm Shelf Life:

• Unopened & Properly Stored: 12–24 months
• Opened & Stored Correctly: 6–12 months

How to Extend Shelf Life:

✅ Keep the jar sealed tightly when not in use
✅ Store in a cool, dry place (away from heat, humidity, and direct sunlight)
✅ Use clean, dry hands to prevent contamination
✅ Refrigeration can extend freshness but may harden the balm

Since tallow is naturally shelf-stable and contains antimicrobial properties, it lasts a long time without preservatives. However, if it develops an off smell or texture, it's best to discard it.

Our tallow-based products are made with natural ingredients and contain no artificial stabilizers or preservatives. As a result, they may soften or melt in warmer climates or during transit, especially in the summer months.

To ensure the best quality upon arrival:

• We recommend bringing your package indoors as soon as it is delivered.
• If your product has softened or melted, simply place it in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes to restore its original texture.

Please note that slight changes in texture do not affect the product’s quality or effectiveness. We do our best to package orders carefully, but we cannot be responsible for melting due to heat exposure during shipping.
